According to the announcement, El Salvador has taken another step in its national bitcoin strategy. The National Bitcoin Office, also known as ONBTC, confirmed the completion of Bitcoin Diploma 2.0. This is a fully redesigned education program.

The first printed copies will reach schools in the coming days. Public institutions will use them during the current school year. The update reflects a wider push to improve financial and monetary literacy.

Stacy Herbert shared the announcement during a national bitcoin education event. She highlighted the diploma as part of a long-term plan. The goal is to help students understand money, the economy, and bitcoin from an early age. ONBTC sees education as a foundation for economic resilience.

ONBTC Redesigns Bitcoin Diploma for Younger Students

Bitcoin Diploma 2.0 introduces a fresh teaching structure. ONBTC rebuilt the program to suit younger learners. Lessons now focus on clarity and logic. Technical language has been reduced. Visual material plays a central role.

During the public presentation, Nelson Inno explained the design approach. His team aimed to make abstract ideas easy to grasp. Animations, charts, and daily life examples support each topic. This structure helps students connect theory with reality.

The course covers economics, savings, incentives, and monetary sovereignty. It also explains mining and global finance basics. Students explore how money evolved before modern systems. Time preference and responsible spending receive special focus. Each lesson builds practical awareness.

A key feature of the new diploma is active learning. Students take part in guided exercises. One task allows them to design their own form of money. This activity teaches scarcity, issuance, and stability in a simple way. Teachers report higher engagement with this method.

WESPARK Leads Bitcoin Diploma Content Development

ONBTC linked the diploma with other national initiatives. These include the Higher School of Innovation in Public Administration, CUBO+, and the course What is Money. Together, they aim to raise financial confidence across society.

WESPARK led the content development. Its team worked with local students and educators. Adam Nili, the firm’s co-founder, praised the collaboration and academic rigor behind the program.

Bitcoin Diploma 2.0 marks the start of a broader roadmap. ONBTC plans future phases focused on activation and acceleration. These stages aim to turn knowledge into action. Young people will receive tools to build businesses and digital projects.

With national rollout underway, El Salvador strengthens its position in state-led bitcoin education. The initiative supports innovation, inclusion, and long-term talent growth. The government views education as the first step toward a modern digital economy.
