The World Food Program (WFP) USA has revealed a new development in its funding model by adopting cryptocurrencies. This partnership has been arrived at through The Giving Block, where WFP USA will soon be accepting other common cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USD Coin. This new move will creatively and securely enable people to give funds to life-saving activities in over 120 countries.
The decision to accept cryptocurrency is being taken at a time when global hunger is on the rise. They consider that WFP USA has to reach many people, and it cannot use the existing traditional approaches to fundraising.
