The Ethereum Foundation has introduced a new management and governance structure as it prepares for the next stage of the network’s development. The organization said the latest appointments strengthen leadership while creating a clearer division between daily operations and long-term oversight.
The updated structure includes new executive leadership alongside a board that will guide strategy and protect the foundation’s mission. The changes reflect a broader effort to improve coordination as Ethereum continues to expand across global markets and technology sectors.
The foundation appointed Hsiao-Wei Wang and Tomasz K. Stańczak as co-executive directors. They will lead the organization together and work closely with other management members to handle operations, planning, and future initiatives.
Ethereum Foundation Reveals Management and Board Roles
The foundation expects the management team to communicate regularly with the community about new decisions, projects, and organizational updates. The leadership group also includes Bastian Aue, who will oversee organizational strategy, hiring, training, and internal development. Josh Stark will focus on project execution, communications, marketing, and operational coordination.
The foundation believes the dual executive model will combine different strengths during an important period for Ethereum. Tomasz brings experience in technology development and community needs, while Hsiao-Wei contributes research knowledge and a deep understanding of the organization’s history.
The Ethereum Foundation also clarified the role of its board of directors. The board will supervise the organization’s long-term direction while ensuring that management decisions remain aligned with the foundation’s principles and legal responsibilities.
Vitalik Buterin will continue providing technical guidance to the Ethereum ecosystem. Aya Miyaguchi now serves as President and will help shape the foundation’s vision while managing key external relationships.
Ethereum Foundation Adopts Dual Executive Leadership Model
Swiss legal and regulatory issues will be handled by Patrick Storchenegger, while Hsiao-Wei Wang will act as the liaison between the board and management due to her dual position in the leadership of the organization. The foundation said that the recruitment of two executive directors was an unusual move for it.
The foundation claims that this structure will enable both directors to supplement one another in this period of tremendous opportunities for Ethereum. Tomasz will work on the advancement of technology as well as in his new position for two years.
Hsiao-Wei will ensure that there is a good communication flow between management and the board, as well as contribute her expertise in Ethereum research and organizational development. The foundation also expressed the intention to enlarge its board in the future.
