- Ripple Prime unlocks regulated Coinbase crypto futures access for institutions worldwide
- Institutional traders gain broader crypto derivatives exposure through Ripple Prime integration
- Coinbase futures contracts now available to Ripple Prime institutional trading clients
Ripple has expanded its institutional trading infrastructure after integrating Coinbase Derivatives contracts into its Ripple Prime platform. The creation lets institutional customers get controlled crypto futures under the clearing network run by Nodal Clear. Ripple Prime is now linked its institutional clients to all the contracts available in Coinbase Derivatives. These products encompass cryptocurrency futures specifically made to serve as professional trade firms and institutional market participants.
The exchange, moreover, offers nano Bitcoin and nano Ethereum futures where one can flexibly expose themselves to large digital assets. Futures on Solana and XRP can also be traded under the same regulated trading environment by institutional traders. In addition, all contracts are running full time and under the watch of the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission. This regulatory framework enables institutions to act in derivatives markets and to still stay in a position of meeting the laid down financial rules.

Hidden Road Integration Strengthens Ripple Prime Infrastructure
The extended derivatives access is executed in the form of Hidden Road Partners CIV US LLC, the Futures Commission Merchant that Ripple purchased last year. Hidden Road has now become part and parcel of the institutional brokerage system of Ripple Prime. Ripple Prime is an asset based brokerage company, which combines clearing, financing and trading services to large market participants. It transacted over three trillion dollars in volume during the year 2025 in various institutional markets.
As explained by Ripple Prime President Noel Kimmel, the integration enhances connectivity of exchanges by institutional customers. He opined that the provision of Coinbase Derivatives enhances the capacity of Ripple Prime to provide wider market opportunities. At the same time, Coinbase representatives pointed to the significance of regulated derivatives markets as the institutional participation keeps growing.
Institutional Demand for Regulated Crypto Futures Continues Expanding
When exposure to digital assets is gained, institutional investors are committing to regulated futures markets more and more. During volatile markets, these markets provide structured instruments that can be used in managing the price risk. The Coinbase Derivatives tailored its market to the institutional trading needs but ensured high liquidity to its contracts.
As well, Nodal Clear offers the framework of settlement of these futures deals. Clearing services disperse the counterparty risk and facilitate stability in institutional derivatives trading settings. The fact that Ripple is a clearing member enhances the larger institutional derivatives ecosystem. Institutions are now able to trade Coinbase futures contracts in an integrated brokerage setup through Ripple Prime.
