This partnership showcases a definite approach to promote innovations and guide new-generation professionals into the Web3 industry. This workshop was conducted under TRON Academy, which is a program that integrates blockchain development alongside academics.
It enables university students to acquire skills that match current industry requirements. The Academy has continued to expand its reach as more organizations demand organized education about blockchain technology. The event was chaired by Sam Elfarra, TRON DAO Community Spokesperson, for almost 30 students at UC Berkeley.
TRON Ecosystem and Web3 Overview for Students
This session introduced participants to TRON, its ecosystem, and how new industries emerging on Web3 are disrupting the online services paradigm. Topics covered on syllabus also include Payment Finance, which connects fast payment services to cross-border payment streams.
The students examined examples of PayFi apps that minimized waiting times for international money transfer services. The class also learned about the larger Decentralized Finance environment, where they learned how to carry out functions for decentralized lending, trading, and risk management.
One important element within the workshop concerned its focus on comparisons between blockchain networks and financial networks. The students analyzed the pros and cons between both options.
They also took into consideration the long-term implications for frameworks for digital settlements and transparent open ledger technology. It was apparent that new technology would change how institutions handle and secure financial operations.
Growing Interest in Web3 Education on Campus
Later, TRON DAO held a meeting with leaders from various student organizations on campus. The leaders shared their observations on various Web3 trends and suggestions for improvements in the training sessions to be conducted in the future. The event highlighted that there has been significant interest in Decentralized Technology among university associations.
TRON DAO hopes to contribute to this by providing educational resources, financial guidance, and development support. In its TRON Academy program, TRON encourages students to develop scalable solutions and to contribute to this ever-growing pool of Web3 experts.
As the global adoption rate for blockchain technology continues to rise, TRON DAO is also working towards increasing its reach within academic environments. TRON DAO remains devoted to supporting blockchain-based projects initiated by students to enhance their education on blockchain technology.
