Its entire holdings of BTC now average about $116,493 per piece. Bitcoin remains the primary treasury reserve of the company. It will continue to add to that in the long term, depending on funds that are free as well as market demand.
Sequans Builds Smart Tech for a Connected World
Sequans is no stranger to innovation. The Paris-headquartered company has been developing wireless semiconductor solutions since the year 2003. It deals in cellular technologies such as 4G, 5G that are tailored for Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
Its technologies energize intelligent transportation systems, homes, logistics, cities, and healthcare. These include mobile location systems, payment terminals that are secure, and AI-enabled units. Its work extends from chip design to software solutions to module technologies.
Aside from its engineering expertise, Sequans also derives income from its intellectual property. It funds business growth as well as Bitcoin purchases through this model. It bolsters its treasury with a mix of equity, debt, and earnings.
Sequans Uses Bitcoin to Strengthen Its Reserves
Sequans stands out by pairing deep tech expertise with a modern financial model. While other companies focus on product development, Sequans puts the spotlight on the management of assets. By making Bitcoin a core of its reserves, the business signals that it believes in the long-term value of the asset.
It follows a broader theme in risk innovation. Businesses are turning away from the typical buffer of cash stocks for other options that can protect them from the risk of inflation and foreign exchange. It appears that Sequans has the long term in focus.
With strong connections to the technology industry and a growing Bitcoin hoard, the company would like to create long-term value. Its twin focus on the IoT market and digital currency may bode well in a global economy that is always evolving.
