BSOL had a total net asset of $292.4 million, including seed capital of $222.9 million, on its first day of operation. The initial inflows of the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF, BITB, were $ 237.9 million on the first day, and the initial inflows of the Ethereum ETF, ETHA, were $ 266.5 million on the same day.

Trading Activity and Expert Insights
BSOL had a trading volume of $10 million in the opening hour and $57.9 million by the end of the day. It was the largest volume ETF of the year. The debut was also interesting to investors, as opined by Bloomberg Senior ETF Analyst Eric Balchunas on X.
He had said that under full deployment of the seed capital, approximately $ 220 million, the total inflows would have amounted to roughly $280 million. The ETF inflows represent newly invested money in a fund, whereas the trading volume represents the number of shares sold and purchased in the market.
Even low trading activity can lead to significant inflows if institutions build and hold new shares.
Increasing Demand for Solana Funds
REX-Osprey introduced SSK, a U.S. ETF providing Solana exposure and native staking rewards in July. It is governed by the Investment Company Act of 1940, whereas BSOL is governed by the Securities Act of 1933.
SSK possesses real SOL tokens, half of which are in direct staking, along with the rest in staking vehicles. These are liquid staking tokens and exchange-traded products. SSK registered inflows (debut) of $11.4 million and cumulative inflows totaling $413.6 million.
Both BSOL and SSK are reflecting the increased activity of investors related to Solana-oriented exchange-traded funds.
