Architect Financial Technologies, founded by former FTX US president Brett Harrison, has launched AX, a regulated global exchange for traditional assets. The platform introduces crypto-style perpetual futures to conventional markets, including stocks, currencies, and commodities.
Harrison claims that AX was developed to unite crypto efficiency and the regulations of regulated financial systems. He explained on X that AX includes price bands, volatility halts, and product-specific margins to maintain stability.

Transforming the Structure of Traditional Derivatives
AX enables the trading of perpetual contracts for various assets, including individual stocks, indices, metals, and energy, among other commodities. The standardized contracts are centrally cleared and anonymously traded on the exchange’s order book.
It is an exchange licensed by the Bermuda Monetary Authority and operated by Architect Bermuda Ltd. This type of structure is responsible for ensuring that transparency and compliance are achieved in regulated financial systems.
Clients are also allowed to post collateral in either U.S. domestically or stablecoins, which offers clients extra flexibility in their trading choices. Custody is handled in conjunction with standard banking partners, and settlements are based on independent benchmarks. The cross-asset class portfolio margining helps enhance capital efficiency for institutions.
AX, which is built on a matching engine provided by Connamara Technologies, has a web-based platform, low-latency APIs, and open-source SDKs. Design offers accessibility and high performance to the traders.
Institutional Clients and Growing Investor Support
Architect Financial Technologies is in the process of raising a Series A round of funding and has already secured $17 million. Some of the investors include Coinbase Ventures, Circle Ventures, and the SALT Fund, founded by Anthony Scaramucci.
The experience that Harrison gained with FTX US, Citadel Securities, and Jane Street provides the venture with strong leadership and credibility. Currently, AX is utilized by institutional investors, including hedge funds, asset managers, and insurers, in approved regions. Individual traders will have the opportunity to enter the waitlist to gain access in the future.
Merging Crypto Innovation with Traditional Finance
The introduction of AX by Harrison marks a significant step forward in introducing crypto-inspired designs to the mainstream financial industry. AX will bring new efficiency to existing markets by providing non-expiring perpetual contracts.
Although there might be regulatory issues, the hybrid nature of the exchange puts it in a strong position to expand in the long term and be flexible. AX will serve as a role model for connecting crypto innovation to traditional financial systems and establishing a new global standard for trading.
