  • Pump.fun reactivated livestreaming for all users on April 11, 2025, with stricter moderation policies.
  • Livestreaming was suspended in November 2024 due to dangerous behavior, including rug pulls and threats of harm.
  • New policies now prohibit violence, harassment, and illegal activities, ensuring a safer platform for users.

Pump.fun has reactivated the livestreaming service for all users and it was active from April 11, 2025. After the many controversies, it was shut down for couple of months but is now more moderated in order to avoid repetition of such incidents.

It was taken down in November 2024 after a number of controversies regarding the feature. Everyone involved with the platform was acting more desperate to gain the traders’ attention. Some were even performing rug pulls live on their stream. There is the famous case of the trader NoHandsNoRug who covered his hands during streaming, but showed them when he dumped liquidity for a memecoin.

This became worse when the users started displaying negative behaviour. A number of livestreamers directly threatened to commit violence, to self-harm, to harm others, and even their pets in order to get people to buy their memecoins. Such actions sparked controversies and led to the suspension of the feature.

Therefore, Pump.fun has stated a new policy which would not allow any forbidden activity. These policies include violence, harassment, pornography, and such other prohibited activities like promotion of terrorism and violent extremism. Despite this, it is worth remembering that explicit content is not absolutely prohibited. However, dangerous or criminal actions are strictly prohibited.

Pump.fun Livestream Returns

Pump.fun is still one of the easiest projects that allows starting the project and launching new memecoins. This has led to increased competition among traders due to the simplicity of the operations. For instance, on April 11, 16,000 new memecoins were launched on the site. With the increasing number of tokens, people are compelled to seek something original and unique that will bring attention.

The feature of live streaming was restored on April 5, although it became available to only 5% of users. Traders previously engaged in attention-seeking incidents as part of the initial trials; however, they are now punishable for offences that emerged after the new rules’ introduction. The full release on April 11 would ensure that all the users of the platform have the possibility to use the feature, provided that they are in compliance with the new rules on the platform.

Since livestreaming service is being revived, Pump.fun is trying to give equal importance to both fun and safety. With the new moderation policies, it aims to provide a better experience for all involved and to avoid the problems seen in its past broadcasts.
