  • Ripple and Securitize have launched a new smart contract for tokenized funds.
  • BlackRock’s BUIDL and VanEck’s VBILL can now be swapped for RLUSD in real time.
  • The partnership expands liquidity, compliance, and DeFi access for institutions.

According to the announcement, Ripple and Securitize have joined forces to expand real-time liquidity for institutional investors. Their collaboration introduces a smart contract that connects Ripple USD (RLUSD) with tokenized funds from BlackRock and VanEck.

This move represents yet another step closer to merging traditional finance and blockchain architecture. The smart contract allows BlackRock’s BUIDL and VanEck’s VBILL token holders to exchange their shares for RLUSD at any hour of the day.

This capability presents a safe off-ramp from short-term treasury products with continuous access to on-chain yield. With RLUSD and use of decentralized finance strategies, investors will also enjoy flexibility with more opportunities for liquidity management and settlement.

RLUSD Gains Momentum With Securitize Integration

RLUSD has been developed as an enterprise-grade stablecoin with specific protections. It has one-for-one backing with independently audited liquid US dollar reserves issued under a New York trust charter. These measures satisfy regulators and are also trusted by institutional users.

Integration with the Securitize platform further solidifies RLUSD’s standing in tokenized finance. BUIDL token holders are already able to convert to RLUSD and VBILL token holders will get the same privilege in a few days. It expands tokenized fund utility through tokenized fund coupling with a compliant stable digital dollar.

Ripple has positioned RLUSD as a solution for tokenized treasuries, tokenized securities, and cross-border payments. With a price of over $700 million since launch at the culmination of 2024 with payment system and DeFi pool coverage, the new integration covers further into tokenized securities.

Securitize Expands With RLUSD on Ripple’s XRP Ledger

Securitize has also established itself as a tokenization leader of real assets with more than $4 billion assets under management. Its platform connects investors and fund managers with regulated digital infrastructures. With the introduction of RLUSD, Securstrate enables real-time settlement and programmable liquidity of institutional-grade products.

The company is also connecting RLUSD with the XRP Ledger. It will also increase stablecoin exposure across the ecosystem of Ripple and introduce utility for business clients with needs for faster and cheaper financial transactions. Ripple and Securitize are both promoting an on-chain and compliant paradigm of finance.

Their partnership doesn’t only satisfy the current demand of stable liquidity but also opens doors further for the adoption of tokenized assets. The project highlights how established firms like BlackRock and VanEck are helping lead the charge towards investment infrastructure developed on blockchain.
