Sui Ecosystem Advancement
While, the digital Mastercard allows users to spend crypto in a convenient way while still having possession of the currency. The card thus allows users to complete transactions in stores by exchanging cryptocurrency for fiat currency. This new item positions Sui among a short list of the platforms that support real-world payments in a compliant manner and initially for the EU area.
However, the Sui Foundation’s Managing Director, Christian Thompson, said that the new product is a new step towards the development of the Sui Ecosystem. He pointed out that the initiative contributes to the concept of making cryptocurrency more accessible. And offers consumers a way to employ their virtual currencies for real-life purposes.
Sergiu Biris, the CEO of xPortal, said that Sui has performed exceptionally well, and this has been boosted by its strong community base. On the matter of integration, Biris noted that the integration into xMoney’s licensed infrastructure is an added advantage to the program. However, Greg Siourounis, the CEO of xMoney, reported that the company’s focus is on easing the adoption of cryptocurrency among its users.
Physical Card Launch
As part of this collaboration, in 2025, a physical Mastercard will be available to users, offering even more freedom. While, the physical card will be as functional as the current one, enabling users to pay with cryptocurrencies at merchants that accept Mastercard.
Sui’s future strategy is to expand into the United States market and introduce additional enterprise services in the future. More information regarding these programs is expected to be unveiled at the Sui Basecamp event. This launch is quite a significant step towards the adoption of cryptocurrency payment solutions from Sui.
