- Trump pushes the House to pass the GENIUS Act without any changes or delays.
- The Senate passed the crypto bill with strong bipartisan support, 68-30.
- Pressure mounts on House lawmakers as Trump sets August deadline for enactment.
President Donald Trump has strongly urged the U.S. House of Representatives to pass the GENIUS Act as it is without modification. His declaration comes after the bill was passed by the Senate in a huge bipartisan vote of more than 90, which tried to regulate the digital asset industry with a combined federal regulatory scheme.
A 68-30 passage by the Senate passed the GENIUS Act introduced by Senator Bill Hagerty of Tennessee. It is made to establish transparent regulations among businesses and consumers that deal with digital valuables. The president appreciated the laws regarding cryptocurrency as a significant move towards improving the U.S. stand in the international cryptocurrency market.
Per his Truth Social post, Trump wanted House legislators not to delay or make amendments that would postpone the bill’s implementation. By his August deadline to sign the bill into law, he underlined that sending it to his desk unaltered would contribute to the process.

Trump also threatened that such changes to the bill would necessitate a reconciliation procedure with the Senate, which would delay the attempts to modernize the country’s national financial infrastructure. He said that it would be able to provide payment systems more rapidly and more faith in transactions involving digital assets.
House Faces Pressure to Act Without Delay or Changes
Even though this move by the Senate was decisive, the GENIUS Act may require additional milestones on the part of the House, in which legislators study their bill that covers digital assets, the STABLE Act. The bill is even more targeted to stablecoins and may introduce conflict with the aspects of the GENIUS Act.
Certain members of the House are said to be contemplating some form of joined effort wherein they amalgamate elements of the two bills. But what Trump said has heaped extra pressure on the chamber to work fast and pass the Senate version unchanged.
Lobbyists have ventured more on Capitol Hill since Trump’s announcement. Most are presently calling upon the House leaders to place an emphasis on expediency and cohesiveness rather than a protracted negotiation time frame that may complicate the process or cause its stalling.
The GENIUS Act is forwarding a system that would provide digital asset enterprises with a more visible place to follow and, at the same time, encourage innovation. It is also aimed at ensuring simplified compliance systems and the setting of speedier transaction settlements.
With Trump’s demand for quick action, attention is being paid to the House. Politicians have to choose between acting on the presidential orders or facing delays that might affect the future of crypto-related activities in the country.
