- XRP Ledger now supports batch transactions with up to eight transactions per batch, enhancing efficiency.
- The upcoming release will reduce memory and bandwidth usage, optimizing the network for better performance.
- EURØP and USDB are the latest stablecoins to launch on the XRP Ledger, marking a significant milestone.
RippleX has revealed a key XRP Ledger (XRPL) upgrade with a standout new feature. RippleX’s senior software engineer, Mayukha Vadari, confirmed on X that the pull request for the Batch Amendment has been merged into the XRPL codebase. Because of this, the feature will be available in the next Rippled release, representing a significant milestone for the network.
Through the XLS-56 batch transactions feature, users can add up to eight transactions into one batch. This feature makes atomic swaps possible, and all transactions in a batch either succeed together or fail together. Because of this feature, transactions on the XRPL are now more efficient and consistent.

The announcement on Reddit from Vadari brought excitement to the XRP community, with XRPL dUNL validator Vet tweeting about the success as well. Thanks to batch transactions, projects on the XRPL can be monetized, and peer-to-peer NFT trading can occur more easily. With this update, the XRP Ledger is poised to gain significant new functionality, allowing for new solutions in the ecosystem.
New features in 2.5.0 and other areas boost network efficiency
RippleX also considers other necessary XRP Ledger improvements to enhance performance and flexibility. One of the most eagerly awaited upgrades is Account Permission Delegation, which is being checked out and tested now. Thanks to this feature, users can manage account permissions with more detail and improve the security and features of their accounts.
Other features added by RippleX are still in the voting process, such as Multipurpose Tokens (MPTs), Credentials, Permissioned Domains, and Dynamic NFTs. Once live on the network, these features will improve XRPL’s capabilities, making it more attractive to new users and developers.
In addition to these improvements, Rippled 2.5.0 will offer significant benefits for network efficiency. Using the new release will lower memory and bandwidth usage, as seen by the first results on mainnet validators revealing a 10-15% decrease when using custom intrusive pointers. By doing this, the network will work more efficiently, and participants will have a better experience with the XRP Ledger.
RippleX is also focusing on stabilizing the network by including precautions that avoid lengthy stuck “establish” stages for consensus rounds. A function known as squelching, suggested many years earlier, will finally be added. As a result, the network will function efficiently and more dependably.
In a big event for the stablecoin industry, Schuman Financial’s EURØP, a MiCA-approved euro stablecoin, is now available on the XRP Ledger. Braza Group’s steadycoin, USDB, is also getting ready for launch on XRPL. Stablecoins show essential progress for the XRP Ledger as a place for stablecoin transactions.
With these upgrades and the Rippled 2.5.0 release, the XRP Ledger is poised to provide a more efficient, reliable, and feature-rich environment for developers and users alike.
