- Chainlink CCIP goes live on Aptos mainnet, marking the first integration on a Move-based blockchain.
- The launch unlocks cross-chain liquidity for DeFi and supports institutional adoption.
- Aave and Bedrock assets are now available on Aptos through CCIP-powered applications.
The Aptos Foundation and Chainlink have joined forces to expand the scope of decentralized finance. The launch of the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) on the Aptos mainnet represents a first for Move-based blockchains. This step connects Aptos with over sixty EVM and non-EVM networks.
CCIP provides a cross-chain communication standard that is scalable and safe. It unlocks a whole array of opportunities for developers and institutions via smooth asset and data transfers. Universal liquidity from key chains is finally within reach in the Aptos ecosystem.
Aave’s GHO Stablecoin Goes Live on Aptos
As CCIP is live, Aave’s GHO stablecoin is natively available on Aptos in the form of a cross-chain token. Bedrock’s uniBTC and brBTC were also introduced. These assets are transferable in real-time through the CCIP-pioneered Interport app, signaling a future era of decentralized finance on Aptos.
The infrastructure facilitates rapid onboarding for projects seeking to build on many different blockchains. It allows developers to build applications benefitting from tokenized assets, lending markets, and tokenized real-world instruments. Such versatility supports growth in retail and institutional use alike.
Chainlink’s system already secured billions of transaction value in the broader blockchain ecosystem. Its proven reliability provides a foundation for Aptos in supporting high-scale financial activity and remaining secure. It also offers smooth upgrades for the protocol, so projects are able to remain adaptable in fast-paced markets.
Aptos and Chainlink Boost Institutional Readiness
The collaboration anchors a mutual focus on institutional readiness. Combining Chainlink’s cross-chain operability with Aptos’ high-performance capabilities positions the ecosystem as a hub for tomorrow’s financial use cases.
Aptos is compatible today with networks such as Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, and Base, with upcoming expansions in the future. Institutions enjoy the integrations with the trust and infrastructure they need to manage tokenized assets on multi-blockchain networks. Liquidity flows easily, and developers can build apps scaling globally.
Such harmonization of security and performance supports Aptos leadership in shaping onchain financial markets. It follows on from earlier endeavors, such as Chainlink Data Feeds on Aptos and participation in the Chainlink Scale program. As a set, they build a stronger foundation for innovation.
