- Singapore Cyber Command will launch in July 2026 to target cybercrime and crypto scams.
- The new unit will start with 200 officers and may expand to over 400 personnel.
- The Cyber Operations Center will track scam networks and cryptocurrency-related financial flows.
Singapore will launch a new Cyber Command in July 2026 to strengthen its response to cybercrime, online fraud, and crypto scams. The unit will sit under the Singapore Police Force and bring key enforcement capabilities into one central structure for action.
Minister of State for Home Affairs Goh Pei Ming announced the plan during the Anti-Scam Conference 2026. The event took place at the Police Cantonment Complex on May 11.
The new command will combine the SPF’s cybercrime, scam investigation, intelligence, and operational units. The existing Anti-Scam Command will also become part of the wider structure.
Singapore Police Expand Response to Crypto Scams
However, officials said the move is meant to improve Singapore’s response to digital threats. These include online fraud, cybercrime syndicates, AI-enabled crime, and crypto scams.
Goh described the Cyber Command as the “tip of the spear” in Singapore’s cyber response. He said the unit would help protect residents from cybercrime and scams.
The command will start with about 200 officers. They will work across operations, investigations, and intelligence divisions.
Authorities expect the force to grow over time. The unit could eventually expand to more than 400 personnel as its operations increase.
A Cyber Operations Centre will form a key part of the new command. It will monitor online criminal activity, identify malicious infrastructure, and support action against scam networks.
The Anti-Scam Centre will be embedded within the Cyber Operations Centre. It will expand its ability to track cryptocurrency-related financial flows along with traditional fiat transactions.
The focus on crypto scams comes as digital assets remain linked to fraud, phishing, money laundering, and cyber-enabled financial crime. Authorities said criminals are using online channels to move funds across borders.

The SPF is already using artificial intelligence tools to detect and block suspicious scam websites. Those efforts will increase under the new command structure, officials said.
Singapore Targets Global Scam Networks
The Singapore Police will also collaborate with the Home Team Science and Technology Agency. The partnership will aid in the detection of digital threats and infrastructure takedown.
Over 20 countries were represented at the conference. The participants were from Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Singapore Police also collaborated with a number of international agencies for the event. These were the French National Police International Security Cooperation Directorate, the UAE Ministry of Interior, and the International Security Alliance.
Authorities indicated that now the cooperation across the borders is playing the key role in cyber enforcement. They reported that multiple jurisdictions are used by many scam groups.
Goh said no single country can handle scams and cybercrime alone. Governments need to increase their capacity and enhance cooperation to remain ahead of the evolving threats,” he said.
Singapore will also be bringing in civilians with cyber expertise to the command. They will assist cybersecurity operations and digital investigation trained uniformed officers.
There will also be increased public outreach, officials said. Community anti-scam programs will focus on increasing residents’ cyber awareness.
It coincides with a rise in government spending on cyber defense globally. The issues of ransomware, AI-powered fraud, digital financial crime, and crypto scams continue to grow.
